1. Is your copy legit?

If it is, look at this FAQ post:http://www.modthesims2.com/showthre...?t=33514&page=1

I'd suggest a reinstall.

Have a look at http://www.sims2techguide.net/article.php?p=9 for a guide to do it without losing your saved stuff

I had a problem with this last Friday. My CD was inserted correctly and was working fine before. The problem was that my computer wasn't recognizing any discs and/or my CD Drive. All I had to do was restart my computer and everything worked fine after that. Hope that helps!

Does your computer meet all of the requirements?

The requirements don't matter for this particular error.

simphression - is this all solved for you now?

My uni disc does the exact same thing. If you have multiple disc drives (CD/DVD) try switching to the other one and see if that helps. You also might want to try restarting a few times.

Is spying really as bad as it sounds? C'mon. They're in your thoughts. You're in their bushes. It evens out.

Try restarting with the disc in.
