Default Is it possible to make roofs that look like these?
I am not very experienced with buildmode techniques, but I found an image that I found really inspiring, but can't quite figure out how to implement.

The closest I've gotten to it is using the half roof piece against the wall of a room, but that still leaves either end exposed. If any talented builders know how to get roofs like this please let me know!

This looks like a mansard with dormers. I can't attach pictures right now as they are working on the upload wizard but basicly you extend the wall out past the roof pitch for creating dormers.

Edit-I could not attach pictures due to http/https issue I was having. I hope I did not confuse anyone more than myself. i did delete the pictures I had but this video may be useful for you in case you had further issueshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqCwHGcsvLA

Thank you so much! This was really helpful, and the roofing term also helped me find some really awesome CC to go with it!

any idea ont he domed roof? The city seems to have a mix of the mansard roof and that rounded barn-ish looking roof.

Are you referring to the two buildings that appear in right lower corner of your picture? Those roofs have a weird curvature on multiple sides and have dormers as well. That sort of roof(I doubt even possible) would require extensive use of constrain floor elevation or possibly using a roof type object like this from the Sims 3 store https://store.thesims3.com/setsProd...&section=UpSell . That roof type object has the opposite curve from your building though.

You can make vaulted ceilings or arched type roofs like picture with CFE but can very complicated and requires a lot of planning.

I just got that set for this project! Thank you for the image of CSE roof, I used it a lot to make arches through my current world build, and hadn't though to use it as a roof. Thank you!

@LemonyLin

You can use the half-hipped roof tool for finer control than the default mansard roof tool.

Grandelama also has a mansard roof fence as well.
