Default Sim Chic mesh recolor/texture
Hi, I need pointer's on how to improve this recolor/texture before I upload. I made all of my own textures except the belt.

you should try a little shadding to ad a bit of wrinkels and folds here and there. a drop shadow beneath the belt might also help

As long as you credit me go ahead and edit any of my clothing(from MTS2 and my website) and use them in your own creations. And please let me know I would love to see what you make!

Shadows under EVERYTHING, I like that color of teal.

It does need some shadows, definitely around the belt, but also just some shading on the outfit. If you look at various textures for the game dresses you'll see that there are hints of highlights and shadows on them.

The easiest way I've found to do highlights and shadows on large fabric areas is to draw them in black (or white for highlights) on separate layers, smudge/blur them, and then bring the opacity way way down, so that it just darkens or lightens the area. Then test in game to see how they show up with the game lighting.

Then you can make them show more or less by adjusting the opacity again, until you get something you like.

Thanks, everone & special thanks to tigerypum for the great tip! (Before I used Dodge & Burn, but I could never get the shadows the way I wanted them without runing the texture.) I can't believe I forgot to shade in wrinkles!
