Default adding lots to CAW w/o EiG
I built an empty world on CAW. My edit in game function does not work (it crashes on loading, presumably from having too much CC). I loaded the empty world into my game and then built the lots for it. Now I'm having an impossible time trying to figure out how to get these lots into the original world without using EiG. Is this even possible? If not, are there any suggestions as to what I should do?

Also, I apologize if this is in the wrong place, this is my first post on this site.

Thanks!

What you are asking is how to turn a save file into a world file. This is quite an advanced procedure, and you need to use S3PE to achieve this.

Some background reading in this thread, including a post from someone who got it to work:

There was a nice tutorial for the method that CassieJ used in that thread at a site called 'Sim This', but it seems to have gone. I have a PDF of it but the images are a little blurry:

If that seems a little complicated, then you'd probably be better off to either just play your savegame with the lots in it, or else to get your EIG working. This may help:

I would suggest to remove all unnecessary CC in order to use EIG to get your lots into the world.

Thank you very much, I'll take a look at that info. It seems like exactly like what I was looking for but couldn't find on my own.

I think simsample is on the right track in suggesting that the first option is to see if you can get EIG work. I would rename your game, let the game generate a new one, and see if you can get EIG to work in a totally clean game. If yes, the CC probably/may be the problem. Also, back when we had to do large address aware and so on if that was needed for the game to handle CAW and all the EPs and so on you have. EIG should work as long as you have the hardware needed to handle CAW and EIG.

Also, I've noticed that EIG handle only so much items in the launcher before the crashing starts. There's many thread about it. I have two different Sims 3 folders; one for playing the game and one for CAW. The launcher in the CAW Sims 3 folder only has a 1 GB worth of store items. The 1 GB is the limit EIG can handle. I learned that the hard way.
