This is a house that was originally meant for my own personal use, born out of a frustration at a lack of affordable middle-class houses in the original game that had both a garage(or space for one), and a big yard that allowed you to grow your own crops, as well as most houses with such requirements normally costing well over §70k at best, or upwards of §150k at worst. However, though it was difficult to construct this as I had no form of guidance or specific end goal while building this, the end result looked great enough for me to make some minor modifications to the house to upload it for public use, and after some advice, made some further more modifications to turn it into a house that, in my opinion, looks rather beautiful at not too high a price.

Unfortunately, with the quest to make this house visually appealing, it has drifted away from my original vision of what I wanted to build - a moderately-roomy house with a garage and a backyard for gardening with an affordable budget of §30k-§40k; I'll flat-out tell you that it ended costing a little over §50k. But it's still good for what it does, and it's not exactly what one could describe as an unreasonably expensive house. And if you want it but cannot afford it, you can easily edit the house in the neighborhood view and strip it down to lower its price.

Lot has never been lived in, and was packaged and cleaned with the Sims2Pack Clean Installer. Did not use AnyGameStarter as I had no idea an Ultimate Collection version had been released, and I just winged it thus didn't really know what expansion and stuff packs I would use. I apologize for using auto-roof, the roof tool just makes absolutely no sense for me and I can't figure out how to use it for the life of me.

The front yard basically had to look beautiful as a self-imposed restriction, so I put in those fields of flowers and the short brick walls and flooring to give it a more refined feel. I tried my best to make the garage seem like a place of duty and storage for things, but there aren't a lot of car/work-related accessories. But the good news is, if you're not planning to give your family a car(how dare you!), you can use the entirety of the garage as a place to store your hobby-related objects if you wish.

The living room and the kitchen were trickier to make due to having trouble managing how much space was used, but I think it worked out nicely. I'm very proud of the couples' bedroom and the bathrooms and how they look like. The kid's bedroom was mostly based on the couples' bedroom and I'm not sure if it's decent or not. It feels too empty for my liking, but I didn't know what to put in there.

The sizable yard contains both a garden with plants for you to enjoy nature as you relax in the bench or stargaze with the telescope, a lake for your sims to fish if they so desire(as well as to look pretty), a place for you to play chess by yourself or with a friend, a grill and a dining table for when you want to make a barbecue, and a greenhouse for all your farm-related needs.

The main design ideal of this house was for a small family that wants a cozily sizable amount of space.
